Project

Project HSVC1 PP4 – Polypropylene (PP) Production Plant & Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) Warehouse at Hyosung Chemical Plant – Cái Mép Industrial Zone, Tân Thành, Bà Rịa – Vũng Tàu Province, covering an area of 60 hectares, with a total investment of approximately 27,000 billion VND, led by Hyosung Group – Hyosung Chemical Corporation, South Korea.

The complex will include 1 PDH unit, 2 PP plants, 1 LPG tank, and 1 storage warehouse for both LPG and PP. PP is a type of thermoplastic used in various applications, including packaging and labeling, textiles, office supplies, plastic parts, and reusable containers, laboratory equipment, speakers, automotive components, and polymer banknotes.

PROCESS VESSEL

Distillation Columns are tall, vertical process vessels that separate liquid mixtures into their individual components based on differences in their boiling points or volatilities. Their primary function is to achieve high-purity separation through successive vaporization and condensation stages within the column, enabling the recovery of valuable products or the purification of streams. These complex separation units are central to oil refineries, petrochemical plants, chemical manufacturing, and natural gas processing, forming the backbone of many industrial purification processes.

Splitter Towers are specialized distillation columns meticulously engineered to separate mixtures of components with extremely close boiling points, where conventional distillation is often inadequate. Their primary function is the high-purity fractionation of challenging mixtures, such as propylene from propane or xylene isomers, achieving the stringent product specifications demanded in petrochemical and refining processes. These advanced separation units are indispensable in petrochemical plants, refineries, and polymer production facilities, where precise separation of closely related hydrocarbons is crucial for feedstock purity and product quality.
