These propylene/ propane splitter towers erected by CNI hold the record of the tallest tower process vessels in the world at the time of being constructed.
Project
Project HSVC1 PP4 – Polypropylene (PP) Production Plant & Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) Warehouse at Hyosung Chemical Plant – Cái Mép Industrial Zone, Tân Thành, Bà Rịa – Vũng Tàu Province, covering an area of 60 hectares, with a total investment of approximately 27,000 billion VND, led by Hyosung Group – Hyosung Chemical Corporation, South Korea.
The complex will include 1 PDH unit, 2 PP plants, 1 LPG tank, and 1 storage warehouse for both LPG and PP. PP is a type of thermoplastic used in various applications including packaging and labeling, textiles, office supplies, plastic parts and reusable containers, laboratory equipment, speakers, automotive components, and polymer banknotes.

CNI provides process vessels tailored to accommodate a diverse array of design parameters, i.e. pressure, temperature, and fluid state variations, including gaseous, liquid, and multiphase (both corrosive and hazardous fluid). This comprehensive range ensures compatibility with various process plants. The process vessels, integral to industries such as petrochemical, pharmaceutical, food and beverage, and chemical manufacturing,…, are used in various industrial processes to hold, mix, or react with substances under specific conditions such as pressure, temperature, and chemical environment. Designed to meet precise specifications, process vessels come in different configurations, including reactors, columns, storage tanks, and distillation units. Our process vessels are constructed from materials such as stainless steel, carbon steel, or exotic alloys, depending on the application requirements and the nature of the substances they handle. The process vessels then undergo rigorous testing, inspection, and certification to ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
A propylene/ propane splitter tower is a component in the petrochemical industry, specifically in the separation of propylene and propane from hydrocarbon feedstocks. These towers play a crucial role in the refining process by employing distillation to separate the two components based on their boiling points and molecular weights. Typically towering structures, they consist of multiple trays or packing materials to facilitate the separation process efficiently.
