Project Polypropylene (PP) Production Plant & Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) Warehouse at Hyosung Chemical Plant – Cái Mép Industrial Zone, Tân Thành, Bà Rịa – Vũng Tàu Province, covering an area of 60 hectares, with a total investment of approximately 27,000 billion VND, led by Hyosung Group – Hyosung Chemical Corporation, South Korea.

The complex will include 1 PDH unit, 2 PP plants, 1 LPG tank, and 1 storage warehouse for both LPG and PP. PP is a type of thermoplastic used in various applications, including packaging and labeling, textiles, office supplies, plastic parts, and reusable containers, laboratory equipment, speakers, automotive components, and polymer banknotes.

PROCESS VESSEL

Heat Exchangers represent the foundational category of equipment specifically engineered to facilitate the transfer of thermal energy between process fluids. Their primary function encompasses a wide range of applications, including heating, cooling, condensing vapors, or evaporating liquids, all crucial for managing process temperatures, recovering energy, and maintaining operational stability. These versatile devices are universally employed in power plants, petroleum refineries, chemical processing facilities, and climate control systems, forming the backbone of thermal management.

Boilers are robust pressure vessels engineered to heat a fluid, predominantly water, to produce steam or superheated water for a multitude of industrial and commercial applications. Their primary function is to generate high-pressure steam for power generation, direct process heating, sterilization, or as a motive force for turbines and other machinery. Boilers are core equipment in power plants, industrial heating systems, manufacturing facilities requiring steam, and district heating networks.

Steam Drums are robust pressure vessels integral to water-tube boilers, positioned at the top of the boiler system. Their primary function is to serve as a crucial separator for the steam-water mixture generated in the boiler tubes, ensuring dry, high-quality steam is supplied to the process while circulating water back for further heating. These essential components are fundamental to the efficient and safe operation of steam generation in numerous heavy industries, including power generation plants, petrochemical facilities, chemical manufacturing, pulp & paper mills, and district heating systems, where a reliable steam supply is critical.

Decanters and Settlers are process vessels that utilize gravity to separate immiscible liquid phases or to separate suspended solid particles from a liquid phase. Their primary function is to achieve efficient phase separation by allowing denser components to settle to the bottom or lighter components to float to the top, which can then be drawn off separately. These fundamental separation units are widely applied in wastewater treatment, chemical processing, oil & gas production (e.g., oil-water separation), and mining operations for initial phase separation.

STORAGE TANK

Bullet or Cylindrical Tanks refer to horizontal pressure vessels, often with hemispherical or elliptical dished ends, resembling the shape of a bullet. Their primary function is the versatile storage of liquefied petroleum gases (LPG), propellants, anhydrous ammonia, and other compressed gases at various pressures, frequently in capacities smaller than large spheres. These ubiquitous pressure vessels are widely utilized in oil & gas operations (LPG storage facilities), chemical processing, and industrial gas distribution networks, providing reliable pressurized containment.
