Đồng Nai, Viet Nam, 23rd November 2023 – In a significant step towards expanding its production capabilities, CNI Co., Ltd. (CNI) held a groundbreaking ceremony for its new factory-seaport complex dedicated to oversized and overweight projects. The construction of the complex is expected to be completed in 2025.

This state-of-the-art facility will include an integrated seaport, allowing for directly loading fabricated products onto jumbo ships. The seaport, being registered as an international special seaport, is designed to accommodate specialized jumbo ships of up to 20,000 DWT directly at the dock. This strategic enhancement will streamline the transportation process, ensuring efficient and timely delivery of CNI’s wide range of industrial products to clients worldwide.

The groundbreaking ceremony marks a significant milestone for CNI, reflecting its commitment to innovation and excellence in engineering and manufacturing. This new investment will not only enhance CNI’s production capabilities but also solidify its position as a leader in the industrial sector. The factory-seaport complex is expected to drive growth and set new industry standards upon its completion.

The port is registered as an international (special) seaport, enabling the direct reception of specialized jumbo ships of up to 20,000 DWT at the dock.

Indoor Fabrication Area

  • 03 main workshops (50 x 160 m/ each, no middle column), divided into 02 assembly & welding lines in each workshop
  • 01 blasting and painting booth (30 x 160 m)
  • 01 stainless steel fabrication workshop (30 x 160 m)
  • 02 overhead cranes (200 Mt./ each) operating over each main workshop
  • 03 semi-gantry cranes (30 Mt./ each) operating over each assembly and welding line
  • 04 SPMT modules (6 axles x 70 Mt./ axle)

Open Yard

  • Heavy piling to reach bearing load 15 Mt./ m2
  • 02 crawler cranes, cap. 1,250 Mt./ each, operating in tandem on the open yard area & the wharf platform, allowing lift of max. 1,500 Mt./ item to unload super heavy products on the project ship.

With this new invested facility, CNI can fabricate:

  • Reactors, towers and columns of any size and weight for Oil & Gas and Chemical industry;
  • Boiler, steam drum and HRSG for thermal power plant;
  • Huge-sized steel structures, such as monopiles, tripods for offshore wind towers, pre-fab steel sections for offshore platforms, modules, etc.
